Mom Violy wanted to eat crispy pata and pinakbet from Seafood Island Restaurant located in Cubao, Quezon City near the old Shopwise. We had arrived early being the first customers waiting for the restaurant to open. Few minutes later customers began entering the restaurant and we have already placed our order. Mom Violy ordered her crispy pata and pinakbet. Carmina ordered garlic butter shrimp since I don't eat crispy pata. Family member ordered calamari and shrimp fried rice. Everyone had a taste of our meals with leftovers to bring home. Watch my video Running Errands in the Philippines . NOT SPONSORED. Fried rice is always a best food to feed your family when you have left over food in your home. I learn you can improvise by adding either canned salmon without bones or draining off the water from the can. Or use left over grilled chicken, or shrimp. You can actually use anything you desire.
The main ingredient in the fried rice:
- 3 cups cooked Japanese rice (any type of rice)
- 1 canned corn (drain the water)
- 1/2 tsp crushed pepper
- 2 tsp cooking oil
- 2 tbsp butter
- 2 tbsp chopped spring onions
- 400g thinly sliced sirloin beef
Step 1:
You will pour the oil on the pan to cook the sirloin beef once cook. Set aside
Step 2:
In another pot you will add the butter and have it melted.
Add cooked Japanese rice, corn, black pepper, sirloin beef or your optional ingredient and mixed together,
Add spring onions.
Ready to eat!
