Mom Violy Craving for Filipino Dishes from Seafood Island Restaurant

  Mom Violy wanted to eat crispy pata and pinakbet from Seafood Island Restaurant located in Cubao, Quezon City near the old Shopwise. We had arrived early being the first customers waiting for the restaurant to open. Few minutes later customers began entering the restaurant and we have already placed our order. Mom Violy ordered her crispy pata and pinakbet. Carmina ordered garlic butter shrimp since I don't eat crispy pata. Family member ordered calamari and shrimp fried rice. Filipino Langka Recipe


Filipino Langka is made from jack fruit it is cooked with gata which is coconut milk. Often our employees eat this has their meal with matching fried fish of your choice.
Filipino Langka Recipe:
Ingredients:
  • 10 pieces small shrimp (peel and remove head)
  • 3 pieces garlic (minced)
  • 2 kilo langka young jack fruit (chopped)
  • 3 pieces coconut or 5 cups of gata (coconut)
  • 1/2 tsp Black Pepper
  • Patis (fish sauce) depends on your taste
  • 2 pieces green chili pepper
  • 1 Onion (chopped)
Step 1:

Cooking Method:
  • 2 tbs cooking oil placed in medium pot
  • Saute garlic and onion
  • Add shrimp, langka, green chili pepper, gata and seasoning
  • Mix together as you are cooking 
  • Fully cook for 30 minutes until tender and soft
