When Mom Violy spotted Crisostomo’s handwritten menu, something in her chest lit up: home-style lumpia, sinigang steaming in clay pots—could this be the comfort food she’d been missing?

Carmina informed Mom Violy that she would visit her home on Saturday, November 8, 2025. She asked if Mom Violy wanted to go out for lunch and mentioned needing to do some grocery shopping due to an upcoming big storm. Mom Violy suggested trying Crisostomo, a Filipino restaurant inside Robinsons Magnolia. Carmina forwarded the menu for her to choose what she wanted to eat, while Carmina already knew her order. I chose pork barbeque served in a set of three pieces with a vinegar dipping sauce. I skipped rice and opted for lumpiang hubad, fresh lumpia without a wrapper, topped with peanut sauce.  Mom Violy initially craved the classic Pinoy paella, but when it wasn’t available, she decided on sinigang na baboy with an extra serving of rice. Original Filipino Spaghetti Recipe


I am sharing you the original version of my Filipino spaghetti that I normally cook at home. The people who can use the actual Del Monte Tomato Sauce this one is for you.

This recipe is carefree you can choose what type of ground meat you would like to use from either beef, pork, chicken or turkey.

The same goes with your hotdog or sausages either beef or chicken of your choice.


Original Filipino Spaghetti:
  • 1 Kilo Ground Meat of your choice
  • 3 Large Del Monte Original Tomato Sauce (pouch)
  • 1 Dairy Creme Butter Original Bar
  • 1 Large Eden Cheese (shredded)
  • 2 Packages of Spaghetti Noodles for 2 kilos
  • 8 Pieces Purefood Beef Hotdog (sliced in circles)
  • 1 Big Onion (chopped)
  • 1 Clove Whole Garlic (miced)
  • 8 Tbs Patis (Fish Sauce)
  • 8 Tbs Brown Sugar
Cooking Instructions:

Step 1:
  • Boil a little amount of water in a pot.
  • Add the ground meat of your choice and wait till it is cook.
  • Drain the water and set aside.
Step 2:
  • In the same pot place a little amount of cooking oil saute the onions, garlic, hot dog and ground meat.
  • Add the fish sauce
  • Mix together
Step 3:
  • Add the tomato sauce, butter, sugar and cheese until it melts
  • Mix together
Step 4:
  • Cook the spaghetti noodles by following the instructions on its package.
  • Add little amount of cooking oil preventing noodles to stick to each other
  • Drain and place on a serving bowl.
Ready to eat!

Garlic Bread Recipe:

Ingredients:

  • 4 tablespoon butter with one clove of garlic chopped and place in a microwave bowl
  • Spread on the bread
  • Toast the bread
