It’s been months since Carmina last posted on her Google Maps. I started doing it just for fun, exploring new places to dine and travel, and sharing those spots with others. Back in 2017, I wasn’t even blogging yet. Over the years, I received numerous email updates about changes, but in September, the removal of followers on Google Maps felt particularly strange. There’s no point in complaining about it. I decided not to close my account, as it wasn’t an option, but I did delete all the photos I had contributed over the years. I have fond memories of seeing which photos were popular and had hoped to share them with you. It was surprising to see how many views my pictures had accumulated. While deleting them, I noticed that many restaurants and bakeries no longer exist, with some marked as unknown on the map. Now, that we have covered the exotic food of the Philippines from main course, snacks, dessert and so on. This time around I will share you what people call palutan. This term means when you are drinking you have food to eat outside or indoors with your friends and family members. There are all sort of palutan that people drink when they combine it with their alcohol drinks.
Kilawin is uncooked fish ceviche that they use the following items to make this dish:

- Tuna
- Bangus (milk fish)
- Tanigue
- Sea Bass
- Lapu Lapu
- Grouper
- Anchovies
Grilled Kalawin
- Kambing (Goat)
- Pork
- Chicken
- Beef
The main ingredients are always used by adding the following
- 1 Tsp - Grated ginger
- 5 - 7 pieces Red Chili Pepper (sliced)
- 1/3 Cup - Onion (chopped)
- 1/2 Cup - Ripe Tomato (chopped)
- 1 Cup - White vinegar
- 7 pieces - Calamansi (squeeze and remove seeds)
- Black pepper
- Cucumber (slice thinly)
- Choose 1/2 kilo of what you have decided upon raw or grilled meat cut into cubes.
Lechon - roasted pig grilled for two to three hours depending on the size.
Chicharon Bulaklak (pig entitles - intestines)
I remember my mom use to buy this at Magat in Union City, California when I was young. She would fry it up.
Chicharon Bulaklak Recipe
- 2 kilos of pig entitles - intestines or called, ruffle fat
- 1 Tbs whole peppercorn
- 5 Dried Bay Leaves
- Salt
- Cooking oil
- 6 Cup water
- White Vinegar
Step 1
You will boil the water and combine the pig entitles, peppercorn, bay leaves and 2 tsp salt
Step 2
Once cooked you will strain it
Step 3
You will rub the salt to the cooked pig entitles
Step 4
Heat up the oil in a pot or deep fryer
Cook the pig entitles until it curls up and becomes crispy
Strain and ready to eat with white vinegar.
