Mom Violy wanted to eat crispy pata and pinakbet from Seafood Island Restaurant located in Cubao, Quezon City near the old Shopwise. We had arrived early being the first customers waiting for the restaurant to open. Few minutes later customers began entering the restaurant and we have already placed our order. Mom Violy ordered her crispy pata and pinakbet. Carmina ordered garlic butter shrimp since I don't eat crispy pata. Family member ordered calamari and shrimp fried rice. Everyone had a taste of our meals with leftovers to bring home. Watch my video Running Errands in the Philippines . NOT SPONSORED. Now, that you have my lazy sushi recipe I will let you know which seaweed is best to eat with it. I have tried a lot of brands, flavors and different textures. The best of the seaweed is the Korean brand it adds more flavor compared to the plain Japanese roasted seaweed. It tends to change the moisture in your mouth and it is dry. The flavor doesn't last in your mouth.
The Korean seaweed can be bought in any Asian Store, Korean Store, Costco (S&R for the Philippines) and online such as Amazon and Shopee.
My favorite flavor is with Olive Oil, but there are some people who don't prefer it.
No matter how you eat your seaweed you get to enjoy your meal in all sorts of ways.
