Carmina is traveling to the United States to spend time with her family. My dad planned a family gathering for Mother's Day at their favorite Pinoy restaurant . Since reservations aren’t possible, we arrived an hour early to ensure we could get a table for twelve before everyone else showed up. As my dad approached Isla Grand , the branch we visited in Pleasant Hills, California , the host at the door said they could prepare a table for twelve at five o'clock. Later, the server called my dad's name and guided us to our table. The place was bustling with people enjoying meals and celebrating Mother's Day. On our first visit to Isla Grand, I was captivated by the décor, noticing many native items that gave the place a fancy yet authentic Filipino feel.   1. My nickname is Chinkee, but ever since I lived in the Philippines people call me Jinky and cannot pronounce the word CH.
  2. I keep correcting the people who call me by Jinky, but it becomes useless to the point I don’t mind it anymore.
  3. I am shy, but I can be talkative once I get to know who you are.
  4. I love doing research on so many things. I have family and friends who ask me to research stuff for them.
  5. My boys treat me like their sister and share their stories with me.
  6. My mom thinks I am her friend because she feels she can tell me anything and we travel with each other a lot.
  7. I have never been really close to my younger sister we always had a distance relationship.

  9. I have a bunion and was operated when I was in college year 1987 right after I had graduated from high school.

  13. My favorite hobby is being creative.

  21. My son's brag to their friends that their mom knows how to cook certain food.
  22. I am not afraid to gain weight because I can loose weight in one week.
  23. My best friend is the restroom because I am there so often.
  24. When I enter in a Chinese Restaurant they mistake me as being Chinese and give me the Chinese Menu
  25. People still ask for my ID. I think it is a compliment when you are older.
