When Mom Violy spotted Crisostomo’s handwritten menu, something in her chest lit up: home-style lumpia, sinigang steaming in clay pots—could this be the comfort food she’d been missing?

Carmina informed Mom Violy that she would visit her home on Saturday, November 8, 2025. She asked if Mom Violy wanted to go out for lunch and mentioned needing to do some grocery shopping due to an upcoming big storm. Mom Violy suggested trying Crisostomo, a Filipino restaurant inside Robinsons Magnolia. Carmina forwarded the menu for her to choose what she wanted to eat, while Carmina already knew her order. I chose pork barbeque served in a set of three pieces with a vinegar dipping sauce. I skipped rice and opted for lumpiang hubad, fresh lumpia without a wrapper, topped with peanut sauce.  Mom Violy initially craved the classic Pinoy paella, but when it wasn’t available, she decided on sinigang na baboy with an extra serving of rice. A family member chose sisig with garlic rice. Carmina enjoyed her meal with Mom Violy and particularly liked the  lumpiang hubad , though she kept wondering why it had no wrapper. Employee

What happens when your employee decide to quit for so many years you have known her. When the time comes she always backs out on her word. For so many years she has been talking wanting to quit it never really push through.

One day that she really decides to exit that door and leave everything behind. Today, it has happened to me our employee who has worked for us for so many years decided to leave us.

This time I seemed more prepared since she has always told me many years that have passed by.

I told my employee this is never a good bye we can still communicate with each other. I am not the type of person when you decided to quit I will disconnect with you. I will still communicate with you. We have been family for such a long time.

She was so worried that I won’t attend her granddaughter’s baptism since I was chosen one of the godparents. I had told her that that doesn’t conflict with me. Your grand daughter has no reason for me to not be one of the godparents. No matter what she is not affected of you and your employer. Yes, I work for them but it doesn’t affect our friendship.

For some many employees who have left my in-law’s business I am still in contact with them. I feel they are still someone I know and shouldn’t disconnect with them because they no longer work with us.

You gain more friends and friends always come and go. No matter if it is from non working relationship either way that is how life runs. You lose them and gain more employee.

We have no right holding them to quit their job. Anyone is always welcome to return back to their employer. We have a lot of employee who have left and came back realized the world out there is difficult to get a good high salary income.

They might not start the same salary they started off, but better than nothing.
