Mom Violy wanted to eat crispy pata and pinakbet from Seafood Island Restaurant located in Cubao, Quezon City near the old Shopwise. We had arrived early being the first customers waiting for the restaurant to open. Few minutes later customers began entering the restaurant and we have already placed our order. Mom Violy ordered her crispy pata and pinakbet. Carmina ordered garlic butter shrimp since I don't eat crispy pata. Family member ordered calamari and shrimp fried rice. Gulliver's Creamed Corn
Recipe:
Ingredients:
- 2 packages (20 oz) Frozen Kernel Corn
- 5 oz (1.2 pt) Whipping Cream
- 8 oz (1/2 pt) Homogenized milk
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1/4 Tsp MSG
- 6 Tsp Sugar
- Pinch White or Cayenne Pepper
- 2 Tbsp Melted Butter
- 2 Tbsp Baking Flour
Step 1:
- Combine all ingredients except melted butter and baking
flour place in a pot.
- Bring to a boil.
- Simmer 5 minutes.
- Blend butter with flour add corn mix well together
- Remove from heat
Step 2:
Variation:
- Put finished corn and heat proof casserole
- Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese
- Place under a broiler until melted brown
Serves 8
