Carmina planned to visit the newly opened Ikea at Trinoma on All Souls' Day , a Philippine holiday , thinking the mall would be less crowded. She didn’t invite Mom Violy, knowing she doesn’t enjoy going to Trinoma . While talking to Mom Violy on the phone, Carmina mentioned she was heading to Trinoma on Saturday, November 1, and invited her to come along, though she reminded her that she doesn’t like walking around that area. Mom Violy said she couldn’t recall ever visiting Trinoma, mentioning how aging parents tend to forget places they've been to. She expressed a craving for steak for lunch, so Carmina began searching for restaurants in Trinoma and sent her links to choose from. Funny story:

Last night, my mom said she was craving a “kissadilla.” At first, I couldn’t figure out what she meant. Then I remembered there are some words she struggles to pronounce. She explained it was a Mexican dish with cheese in a tortilla, sometimes with meat. I told her, “Mom, it’s called a quesadilla, not kissadilla.” It sounded like she wanted to kiss someone! 😘
