Hitting the 80's

When you get older and reach the age in the 80’s you have a harder time putting your clothes on and removing it. You realize you need a new set of wardrobe in your closet.

For some reason you no longer know how to button your clothes or your fingers are too big and can't seem to do it on your own. You end up having an assistance to help you close up your dress shirt or zip up your pants.

The t-shirt you wear need tags that identify which is the front or the back to make sure you is not wearing your clothes backwards.

My father in-law is going through this stage in life he has a harder time identifying which is the front and back of his t-shirt especially he has no print on them they are sold colors he wear at the house.

He doesn’t realize he is being strangled by the way he put his clothes on because it is backwards.

Only his wife and family members will tell him his shirt is backwards as he changes it by removing it out.

You reach the stage when you have a hard time tying your shoes you need to use the ones with Velcro and shoes that stay and hold on to your ankle.

Everything starts to change as you reach a certain age and you can't seem to cope it on your own to put your own garment or shoes on your feet.

When you reach this age we tend not want to ask help from others they feel they are still capable in doing it for themselves.

I've notice the changes from my father in-law he is no longer the talkative that he use to talk to us at the table.

He is so quiet and just keeps eating away as everyone is talking to someone. They no longer pay attention that he is almost done with his food.

I realized that once we are older we tend to fall back being a toddler again. You think it is so sad you see someone act this way. But, we know the fact as you get older you need someone at your side to always guide you where you are at and sometimes they feel they can be still be independent when in reality they are having a hard time adjusting themselves on the weakness they have become and they don't feel like asking for the help they need.

Funny story:

My sister in-law came over the house last night buying two pairs of pants for her father. Father in-law tries on the pants and it didn’t quite fit him too well because the pants my sister in-law bought him for maternity women. My father in-law for one thing is not a women and not even having a baby.

My sister in-law thought buying this for her father would fit him and be easier on him to wear on a daily basis.

Today, we ended up buying him garterized pants and it would be easier for him to pull up his pants and put it down.
