Carmina says Bebang’s halo-halo is summer in a spoon — but is it the real deal or just pretty colors in a cup?

Since last year, Mom Violy and Carmina had been wanting to try the much-talked-about  Bebang's Halo-Halo , but even when we passed by, the timing was never right. Mom Violy kept saying she’d wait until a branch opened closer to us. Then Becky told Carmina there was one along her commute route to work. The best part was that the Tomas Morato branch in Quezon City had just opened. When we arrived at CTTM Square , we found plenty of restaurants on the second floor. While checking the menu, we let the customers behind us order first. Mom Violy asked them for recommendations, and they suggested the Presidential for first timers. Unlike other places, Bebang’s Halo-Halo doesn’t have size options—everything comes in a standard size, making ordering easier. Seniors and PWDs get a discount per order, and you’re given something that lights up when your halo-halo is ready for pickup. Service was quick, so the wait wasn’t long at all. Each order comes in its own green plastic bag with a table...

Things to know before your Sydney, Australia trip:

Before I travel somewhere new I would like to find out more about the country in order to adapt myself and know what food is known there while I am in their area and what food I can bring back home with me.

Australia is known for kangaroo and koala more into nature, beach and urban places.

The people are called, Aussie.

The common food eaten in Australia is vegemite. I tried that didn’t like the taste of it. Not my kind of spread you put on your bread.

TimTam (chocolate biscuit) – My son told me he has a friend from Australia.  Use tim tam use as a straw and suck the drink through the biscuit to add flavor on their coffee or hot chocolate.
Eating alone is already sweet for me.

Meat Pies – Stuffed minced meat, gravy, mushroom, onion and cheese. You can purchase it in the bakery and supermarket. It can also be store in the freezer and warm later when you would like to eat it.

Fish and Chips – They give you a big serving of fries on one order is enough for everyone. Don’t be mistaken fries for those means chips and the ketchup are extra charge.

I remember when I had visited in Melbourne two years ago my Uncle wanted more ketchup they had charge me for it came in a small ketchup bottle.

You can try kangaroo meat never wanted to try something exotic.

Snacks my family loves the most is Arnots Shapes Baked Not Fried crackers comes in flavor pizza, cheese and bacon, honey barbecue and barbecue.

The chips I always look into which they don’t have in the Philippines is Kettle Chips Barbecue flavor.

My niece they love using Lucas Papaw Ointment and I started using it too great for your lips.

Of course, what we see when you are there you end up buying what is not on your list.
