At the ferry when they say go to Immigration, they really mean Departure. It can get confusing to find it since there are no sign that says Immigration.

There are some people who have booked a hotel from Batam. They say, it is best to stay there for 2 nights to be able to complete the whole area of Batam. If, you are into nature and animals this place is for you.
If, you are just here for shopping not much to see. It is better to stay in the area of Singapore there are more places to visit.
