Mom Violy Craving for Filipino Dishes from Seafood Island Restaurant

Mom Violy wanted to eat crispy pata and pinakbet from Seafood Island Restaurant located in Cubao, Quezon City near the old Shopwise. We had arrived early being the first customers waiting for the restaurant to open. Few minutes later customers began entering the restaurant and we have already placed our order. Mom Violy ordered her crispy pata and pinakbet. Carmina ordered garlic butter shrimp since I don't eat crispy pata. Family member ordered calamari and shrimp fried rice. Everyone had a taste of our meals with leftovers to bring home. Watch my video  Running Errands in the Philippines . NOT SPONSORED. Hidden Appearance

When we talk to people on the phone through chat, calls or video we really don’t get to see the person fully they are only half body and everything is still hidden we wonder if their appearance have changed over the last time we have seen them in person.

Just yesterday I heard my employee in her office and our family driver inside and I had missed entering inside but due to social distance I was able to just talk to them through a window that was near the stair case. I was hidden by a curtain that both of us couldn’t see each other. All we can hear our voices as we just kept talking to each other and telling stories as we would normally do if I can see them.

Our secretary Janelle was wondering how I had looked in person. I asked, her if she had lost the weight she had wanted too when we last saw each other in person. Janelle just laughed at me and said, there is no such thing as diet for me it doesn’t seem to trigger me to lose the weight.

Janelle asked, me how about you Mam I said I was able to lose weight during my sheltered in place.

Janelle said I can’t wait till I see you in person to see it for myself.

Our driver Laloy said I have a story for you and I said sure what is it I went to see your sister in-law and her hair is all gray. Laloy said I was wondering do you color your hair even if you are sheltered in place. I said yes I do because in case there is an emergency and we need to evacuate from our home I will not look old with gray hair.

Laloy was laughing because he said my sister in-law he couldn’t recognize her face because of her hair was all gray.

I realized the people who know how to color their hair have an advantage when time like this we can manage to take care of ourselves instead of going to a salon.

People who have disadvantage who rely on other people to do it for them.

Laloy asked me Mam since you don’t go out in the sun and it is summer here is your skin white that we can no longer see you.

I teased him yes I still look the same no changes and I can turn into being the white lady in the house.

All the three of us just laughed at each other.
