Mom Violy Craving for Filipino Dishes from Seafood Island Restaurant

  Mom Violy wanted to eat crispy pata and pinakbet from Seafood Island Restaurant located in Cubao, Quezon City near the old Shopwise. We had arrived early being the first customers waiting for the restaurant to open. Few minutes later customers began entering the restaurant and we have already placed our order. Mom Violy ordered her crispy pata and pinakbet. Carmina ordered garlic butter shrimp since I don't eat crispy pata. Family member ordered calamari and shrimp fried rice. Pork Ribs Puchero Recipe


Manang V had cooked pork ribs puchero it was the only meat accessible in our home and usually there are other vegetables included saba banana, potatoes and chick peas this time around we only used what was available.

Pork Ribs Puchero Recipe
Ingredients:
  • 2 Kilos - Pork Ribs
  • 1 - Cabbage 
  • 1 - Kilo Petchey
  • 1 - Pouch Tomato Sauce
  • 2 - Cloves Garlic (minced)
  • 1 - Onion (chopped)
  • 5 - Cups Water
  • 2 - Pork Cubes
  • Patis to taste
Original Puchero Recipe:
  • 2 - Ripe Saba (cut into 3)
  • 2 - Carrot (cut in cubes)
  • 2 - Potatoes (cut in quarters)
  • 1 - Canned Garbanzo
Cooking Instructions:
  1. In a pot pour small amount of cooking oil when hot add garlic, onion to sauté add pork ribs, water, pork cubes, tomato sauce let it boil add cabbage, petchey other vegetables and season with patis until meat is cooked it is ready to serve in a serving bowl.
