In the Philippines we eat pandesal for breakfast, merienda, lunch and dinner. We can add anything inside to make it into a main meal or a dessert but no matter how we eat it we have something that fills up our stomach.

Sometimes we have the following ingredients inside our bread:

  1. Corn beef
  2. Eden cheese
  3. Salted Egg
  4. Coconut Jam
  5. Liverwurst
  6. Hot dog
  7. Mayo
  8. Scramble egg
  9. Peanut butter
  10. Sardines
  11. Butter
  12. Chicken spread
  13. Egg spread
  14. Ham
  15. Spanish sardines in a bottle with olive oil
  16. Ice cream
Some people just soak their pandesal inside the coffee
