Getting to Know Your Vegetable Seeds

The past weeks I have been ordering vegetable seeds for my mom to keep herself busy in her garden during our pandemic this is the only outlet for my mom to keep her happy to the point she has something to look at each day by its progress.

I have purchased a lot of different types of vegetable seeds for my mom and we have come across some where they don't show the actual color of the seeds you would purchase once it arrive to your home the seeds are not even close to what is shown in their picture.

I am sure this happens to a lot of people who have purchase items online and when it arrives it doesn't look exactly shown on their list of products from the seller.

Either way you make a gamble when you purchase something online the fact you're not allowed to go outside due the age or you choose to stay home to shop online is something you need to consider in anything you purchase.

I will show you the difference type of seeds I have purchased and what my mom has tried to plant in her home in order for you to understand everything before you decide to purchase your own vegetable seeds.

In Tagalog this is sitaw but in English the meaning of the vegetable is string beans.

Based on the color being metallic this is not the real seed for a string bean to determine its color this vegetable will not be sweet when it grow once you begin to plant it in your garden.

There are different types of sitaw or string beans but based on their color this is the right one to plant.

Upo is my mom's favorite vegetable that she loves to eat you will often see this eaten in a Filipino restaurant or cooked at your home.

This is how the real upo seed suppose to look in this picture shown below:

Here is an upo seed sold by another seller with a metallic color of reddish purple:

The best advice I can give you always ask the seller the picture of the seeds before you decide to make a purchase as well instructions how to plant in every seed comes with different instructions is all I can give you on my experience.

You have these seeds in your garden to cook you may refer to my recipes you can make out of your beans and upo.
