Mom Violy Craving for Filipino Dishes from Seafood Island Restaurant

Mom Violy wanted to eat crispy pata and pinakbet from Seafood Island Restaurant located in Cubao, Quezon City near the old Shopwise. We had arrived early being the first customers waiting for the restaurant to open. Few minutes later customers began entering the restaurant and we have already placed our order. Mom Violy ordered her crispy pata and pinakbet. Carmina ordered garlic butter shrimp since I don't eat crispy pata. Family member ordered calamari and shrimp fried rice. Everyone had a taste of our meals with leftovers to bring home. Watch my video  Running Errands in the Philippines . NOT SPONSORED. Panda Express Chinese Kitchen

I am back in my hometown not really there just when I am eating Panda Express Chinese Kitchen brought back great memories.

Either way I get to experience eating Panda Express Chinese Kitchen all over again my mom use to buy it at Nordstrom Rack in the Marina in San Leandro Shopping Mall after we use to go shopping heading back home to bring some food for our lunch or dinner.

I no longer need to fly back to California just to eat my favorite food.

For those who don't know about Panda Express Chinese Kitchen there is a choice to either make a plate  of your choice either two/three entrée and side of your choice.

The picture shown is a plate of two sides of Kung Pao Chicken, Eggplant Tofu and Chow Mein

Kung Pao Chicken

Eggplant Tofu

Chow Mein

The plate for two entree and side is PHP 330.00 ($6.60)

Bowl:

1 Entrée and 1 Side of your choice

Orange Chicken with Fried Rice

PHP 234.00 ($4.68)

I couldn't stop laughing at the size of the Small Entrée of Kung Pao Chicken. I think I made a big mistake on the size selection I made this is my first time ordering from the Philippines. It was also online no clue what size difference it would be compared to California.

Oh well it is here it is my mistake by my own judgment good I had order in my other entrée to share with my family.

You can see the comparison in size from where the orange chicken is in the larger container and next to it is the Kung Pao Chicken.

I decided to try their mango sago to see it would pass my test.

Mango Sago is PHP 144.00 ($2.88).

Orange Chicken taste the same back home with its flavor nothing has changed.

Kung Pao Chicken is great for people who love spicy food otherwise the taste is delicious.

Eggplant Tofu is spicy my favorite vegetable it had solved my cravings.

Chow Mein is the same back home nothing is missing just love to eat noodles.

Fried Rice is okay.

Mango Sago remind me of mango graham crackers that we make in the Philippines.

Of course we get a free treat with our fortune cookie is what our future holds printed with a paper that says this written in a piece of paper.
