Tired of the new rules, Carmina closed her Google Maps account — what pushed her over the edge?

It’s been months since Carmina last posted on her Google Maps. I started doing it just for fun, exploring new places to dine and travel, and sharing those spots with others. Back in 2017, I wasn’t even blogging yet. Over the years, I received numerous email updates about changes, but in September, the removal of followers on Google Maps felt particularly strange. There’s no point in complaining about it. I decided not to close my account, as it wasn’t an option, but I did delete all the photos I had contributed over the years. I have fond memories of seeing which photos were popular and had hoped to share them with you. It was surprising to see how many views my pictures had accumulated. While deleting them, I noticed that many restaurants and bakeries no longer exist, with some marked as unknown on the map. Chicharo with Shrimp Recipe

  This is one of my favorite vegetables it is chicharo in English it is sweet pea cooked with shrimp. I can eat this alone without any rice as one of my meals alone. Chicharo with Shrimp Recipe: Ingredients: 3 - Cloves Garlic (minced) 1 - Medium Onion (chopped) 2 - Tbsp Cooking Oil 6 – Pieces Shrimp (remove head, shell and cut in small pieces) 1/2 Kilo Chicharo/Sweet Pea (remove the sides) Patis to taste 1/2 Cup - Water Cooking Instructions: Step 1: Cook in a large pan in medium heat add cooking oil add garlic and onion sauté  Add shrimp cook for two minutes  Add water and  chicharo/sweet pea mix together cook for 10 minutes season with patis ready to serve in a serving bowl. Filipino Corn Soup Recipe

This is my favorite all time Filipino Corn Soup that I prefer to eat often if I could my mom use to make this for me when I was young. You can also use yellow corn in case native white corn is not available in your area. Filipino Corn Soup Recipe Ingredients: 2 Pieces - Native White Corn (use knife to remove kernels) 1/2 Cup - Ground Pork 1/2 Cup - Small Shrimp (peel, remove head and shell) 1 Cup - Dahon Sili or Spinach 1 - Onion (chopped) 2 - Cloves Garlic (minced) 1 - Knorr Chicken Cube 4 Cup - Water Patis to taste Cooking Instructions: In a pot add small amount of cooking oil when hot add garlic, onion to saute add ground pork, shrimp, corn, water once water is boiling add chicken cube and dahon sili season with patis and it is ready to serve in a serving bowl.
