Carmina has family visiting the Philippines and the first thing we would always ask where you would like to eat. Since we are ten decided to have lunch at Gloria Maris located at Greenhill's Shopping Center. The place was busy for the dine in but if you enter inside where they serve dim sum there will be vacant seats available which they serve the same food. We started off eating hakaw, siomai, tofu silk rolls and xiao long bao. We also had some shrimp wonton noodle soup for sharing requesting to have some bowls for everyone who wanted to have a serving. Main course meal started off with garlic chicken, polochan with garlic, salt and pepper prawns and shrimp fried rice. Family picture with everyone there are two who doesn't want to be discovered. We had a lot of leftovers packed up for us to eat for our dinner being full no more room for dessert. NOT SPONSORED. Subscribe @ Carmina Lifestyle YouTube Channel a place to look, discover and share. Chestnuts come during the month of December in the Philippines often we buy it in Divisoria on a stall in the street where someone is frying in a big pan. In Tagalog we call it castanas they are sold in a brown paper bag newly roasted sold by 1/4 kilo, 1/2 kilo and 1 kilo depending on what size you would like to purchase. During our pandemic months my mom's neighbor is selling it for 1 Kilo for PHP 300.00 ($6.00) the taste is soft, sweet and best hot can be cooked in the toaster oven. To stay fresh leave in your refrigerator when you feel like eating it again. Or you can remove it from the shell and place in a Tupperware with a lid. To crack it open you can use a nut cracker I just use a crab cracker it does the same purpose. You may purchase your chestnuts at this person who we had placed our order. Note: I am not selling chestnuts just my favorite during the holiday season. If you have a Facebook click subscribe Carmina Lifestyle - Home | Facebook a place to look, discover and ...
