Mom Violy and Carmina attended the viewing of a family member who had passed away. During the reception, a relative mentioned there was food being served, and Leny told us someone had given them cheese mamon to try. Mom Violy brought up other bakeries, but Leny encouraged her to taste it and see what she thought. Leny gave us so many mamon to take home that the next day, Mom Violy asked Carmina to find out the bakery’s name. When Carmina messaged Leny, the names Mom Violy suggested didn’t seem quite right. Pako Salad Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1/2 Kilo Fresh Pako leaves
- 1 - Red Onion (slice)
- 2 - Ripe Tomato (slice)
- 2 - Salted Egg (slice)
Dressing Ingredients:
- 1/2 Cup - White Vinegar
- 1 Tsp - Black Pepper
There are two ways to make your pako salad some people prefer it raw others want it cooked all depends on how you want to eat it.
For us we prefer ours to be cooked before we eat our pako by doing this you just need to boil water add the pako leaves cook for a short time and strain the pako.
Preparing the Pako Salad:
- Transfer the pako on a serving plate add onion, tomato and salted egg
- Mix the dressing ingredient together
- Option you can pour the dressing or set aside until you plan to eat your pako salad
I prefer to eat pako salad without any dressing due to the salted egg it is already salty adds flavor on its own.
