Mom Violy Craving for Filipino Dishes from Seafood Island Restaurant

  Mom Violy wanted to eat crispy pata and pinakbet from Seafood Island Restaurant located in Cubao, Quezon City near the old Shopwise. We had arrived early being the first customers waiting for the restaurant to open. Few minutes later customers began entering the restaurant and we have already placed our order. Mom Violy ordered her crispy pata and pinakbet. Carmina ordered garlic butter shrimp since I don't eat crispy pata. Family member ordered calamari and shrimp fried rice. Our food is Popeye the cartoon character’s favorite food only differences cook the Filipino way.

Spinach with Shrimp and Tofu Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 Kilo - Spinach
  • 5 Pieces - Shrimp
  • 3 Slices - Tofu (slice into cubes)
  • 1 - Tomato (slice into quarter)
  • Patis (fish sauce) to taste
Step 1: (Shrimp Water)
  • Use mortar and pestle add 5 pieces shrimp head smash it.
  • Add 1/2 cup water
  • Place the shrimp head and water in the strainer having a bowl below it.
  • Set aside
Cooking Instructions:
  • In a pan add cooking oil on low heat sauté garlic and onion add shrimp, tofu, tomato and spinach
  • Add shrimp water and patis to taste
  • Mix together
  • Place in a serving plate ready to eat.
