When the longing for authentic Pinoy dishes strikes in the U.S., Isla Grand stands ready to transport your taste buds back to the Philippines.

Carmina is traveling to the United States to spend time with her family. My dad planned a family gathering for Mother's Day at their favorite Pinoy restaurant . Since reservations aren’t possible, we arrived an hour early to ensure we could get a table for twelve before everyone else showed up. As my dad approached Isla Grand , the branch we visited in Pleasant Hills, California , the host at the door said they could prepare a table for twelve at five o'clock. Later, the server called my dad's name and guided us to our table. The place was bustling with people enjoying meals and celebrating Mother's Day. On our first visit to Isla Grand, I was captivated by the décor, noticing many native items that gave the place a fancy yet authentic Filipino feel. They usually have a live band, but unfortunately, there was no entertainment the night we went. Watch Out Being Scam from Magnolia Sweet Catimon

My mom has found ways to keep herself busy in her home. Even before when I was young living in California she had loved planting having a green thumb. To keep my mom preoccupied during her pandemic she has reunited from her favorite hobby.

My mom decided to plant a mango tree in her terrace.

My mom found Green Meadow in the Facebook advertising with a video how it looked. My mom was very interested and wanted the same tree in her home.

My mom doesn't know how to communicate with the person who was selling it.

My mom asked me to do it for her.

I began inquiring leaving a message in Green Meadow asking how to purchase the Magnolia Sweet Catimon (dwarf variety).

The person began letting me know they had a promo if I had purchase two different type of mango tree, but due to the space in my mom's terrace she is not allowed to plant something bigger than what she wanted.

The seller whom I was communicating with asked me questions to answer name of the person, address to be delivered to your home and contact number.

Payment is cash basis will pay upon your delivery to your home.

I had informed my mom I had used her address directly to her home a way she can plant it ahead of time.

My mom was very excited couldn't wait until it would arrived. It only took one week until the Magnolia Sweet Catimon arrived in her home.

Question:

How to plant and make it grow?

Transfer the mango tree into a new pot and place in a shady area within a week.

How to water your Magnolia Sweet Catimon?

Water every 2-3 days depends on the texture of the soil.

When do you add the fertilizer?

Every three weeks add fertilizer to soil.

For those who are living in the Philippines and would like to plant and grow a mango tree in your home you may refer to the link given Golden Meadow to direct you to their site.

Note:

I am not selling Magnolia Sweet Catimon or advertising for Golden Meadow just something my mom wanted to plant in her home.
