Mom Violy's First Time Dining at Mesa Restaurant

Mom Violy had informed us that one of her friends said to try Filipino food at Mesa. The day for our lunch with Mom Violy's best friend who was visiting the Philippines brought to  Mesa Restaurant inside Eastwood City. Ninang Lourdes was staying close by Eastwood City Shopping Mall. She hasn't entered inside the shopping mall. Upon entering to the third floor was able to see Mesa Restaurant giving you the menu when seated and the table. Mom Violy had ordered the In Own Ink baby squid, Crispy Pork on the vegetables and Palabok. Ninang Lourdes ordered fresh buko for her drink. Mom Violy's expectation dining inside Mesa wasn't what she had expected on the food. Mom Violy based on her taste buds the food was bland on the palabok wasn't salty enough and the crispy pork pinkabet which she had added fish sauce asking the server. Easy Fish Ball and Fish Ball Sauce Recipe

 


All you need to do is purchase frozen fish ball in the grocery store before you will fry the fish ball you will defrost it.


The reason why we defrost it before frying prevent it from popping oil when you're frying it in the stove.

Cooking Fish Ball Instructions:

  • Heat pot with oil place small portion enough to float and cook in the cooking oil you can decide how you want it cooked by the color it turns out.
  • Strain the fish ball after it has been cooked removing oil 
  • Transfer to serving plate or bowl

Cooking the fish ball sauce is pretty easy I was able to do it my first time and succeed reason why Manang V was so happy.

Fish Ball Sauce Recipe:

  • 2 - Cup Water
  • 4 Tbsp. - Sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. - Soy Sauce
  • 2 Tbsp. - Minced Garlic
  • 4 Tbsp. All Purpose Flour
  • Optional red chili peppers
Cooking Instructions:
  • Combine all ingredients except all purpose flour 
  • Let it boil using a small pot
  • Add all purpose flour when water is boiling slowing stir it until it has dissolved and thicken from the texture you will know it is already cooked.
  • Taste it and adjust the taste if you want it sweet or spicy.
