Carmina asked Mom Violy what kind of food she would like to eat for her upcoming birthday. Mom Violy said she was craving for a restaurant that serves steak and lobster. Carmina gave Mom Violy a list of restaurants for her to decide with a link of the websites for her to see which one look something she would like to try. One week before Mom Violy's birthday she made her final choice where she would like to try Mamou . Carmina had picked up Mom Violy at her home before heading to Gateway 2 located in Cubao, Quezon City. Mamou is located ground floor inside Gateway 2. Upon entering the person asked if we had any reservations however, they do except walk as well was seated at the table of our choice. The person had handed us the menu. Beverages Menu Bread and butter were served after we had placed our order. Our appetizer was the Mamou's Bacon Steak. Mom Violy decided to order her lobster tail with rice. Carmina had ordered Beer Battered Fish and Malt Vinegar with choice of pot
Job at 50 Years and UpTo the factor age 50 years old is
consider as a senior citizen in some countries example the Philippines.
I know the fact in the United States
when I was working there was no problem to get a job in the age of 50 and up.
Most people at that age go toward working for a department store into sales
associates, cashier and inside the fitting room.
Or there are people who work inside
doing clerical work in a office of some sort.
Did you know when you're age 50 in
the Philippines it is the opposite?
It is harder to get a job especially
if you're experience most companies would prefer to hire people age in the 30's
that are capable to catch up and learn right away.
I guess I never really had to think
of that because there was always a job handed to me from family members and
friends.
I do remember when I was younger in
the California when I was applying for a job the first time how it was during
an interview process was always an introduction who you we're and why you're
apply for the job position.
Questions Asked:
- Tell me about yourself
- How do you see yourself in five years?
- Do you plan to work part time or full time?
- What are your hobbies?
- Do you go out on the weekends?
During my time in the 80's they
wanted to make sure you're available to work on the weekend’s reason why they
question if you go outside.
My first full time job was working at Ross Dress for Less from Sales Associate, Fitting Room Clerk, and Floor Display and was going toward Assistant Manager.
My parents had decided to branch out and start their own Subway Sandwich business. I went toward the field of food.
We had hired senior citizens there was no discrimination where you see most work there making you're sandwich the only thing they didn't like handling the cash register.
The senior citizen prefers to approach the customers with a nice and a conversation while they are making their sandwiches.
Lately I have been talking to my friend who is in the 50's having no source of income and helping her finds a job.
Before you can find a job you need to narrow down what are you good at to actually know where I can start looking for a job position in a company.
The question I asked my friend what do you see yourself within 5 years from now.
I wanted to give my friend a support to push her forward rather than backwards.
I have known my friend for a very long time and I realize the factor I don't have to deal with that type of pressure.
I thought people like me had already thought what they wanted to do in their life due we had more than one year through our pandemic to think what we want out of life.
I realize to myself there are people who are the opposite who are lost in motion no clue what they want to do.
My friend is not the only one I had approached about the topic about their life toward the five years plan in their life.
In other words you've realize you can be their tool to change their life for the better but to push them to bring out the real person they are.
Every day I am learning new things with my friend talking over the phone through video call, our first conversation took five hours showing her how to use video call and explaining everything to her.
To a person where our society is video call is something needs to be taught to a person who doesn't know how to do it.
I was able to teach her how to use her web cam from her computer and from her own phone either way she has the feel of both ways.
There are a lot of application to have a video call just all depends what is compatible to your computer and phone.

So far there are so many out there
to narrow it down I wanted to teach my friend the ones that are popular in case they will need to use it for their upcoming job.
Do you know how to type and what are WPM skills?
Those who cannot type best to teach yourself now due you've got a lot of time for yourself.
That is something you can learn online or download software.
How to practice is also to type something up probably a journal about you're life to start off that way you can express what you're feeling that day.
I remember when I was young in high school we had type out a book report from a typewriter there was no computer during that time.
Imagine making so many mistakes we need to wipe it out and type over it. Our teacher would ask us to repeat the whole assignment to do it all over again with any mistakes.
Technology is the trend and it is easier for someone else to learn online than us reading a book to guide us there.
