Mom Violy Craving for Filipino Dishes from Seafood Island Restaurant

Mom Violy wanted to eat crispy pata and pinakbet from Seafood Island Restaurant located in Cubao, Quezon City near the old Shopwise. We had arrived early being the first customers waiting for the restaurant to open. Few minutes later customers began entering the restaurant and we have already placed our order. Mom Violy ordered her crispy pata and pinakbet. Carmina ordered garlic butter shrimp since I don't eat crispy pata. Family member ordered calamari and shrimp fried rice. Everyone had a taste of our meals with leftovers to bring home. Watch my video  Running Errands in the Philippines . NOT SPONSORED. Carmina went to Call Up Mr. Frank

Carmina went to call up Mr. Frank to see if he was available to cook us some hotdogs that he had mentioned to us before being his business.

Good thing we won't starve for our snack of the day being a Tuesday.

You can choose from what type of hotdogs you want all cooked differently with some ingredients for example I went to try their Jersey Hotdog Solo that has the following Italian sausage, tomato, onion, jalapeno, bacon, mozzarella cheese and concasse.

I had to look up and see what concasse which is made of tomato that involves boiling the tomato to remove the skin and chopping it up to make a sauce the French way.

  • Jersey with no tomato PHP 195.00 ($3.90)

  • Jersey with no Jalapeno PHP 195.00 ($3.90)

  • Michigan cheddar cheese and chili con carne Solo PHP 175.00 ($3.50)

  • Corn Dogs PHP 150.00 ($3.00) with choice of dip cheese, sour cream or ranch dressing

The outcome on the Jersey the cheese is not mozzarella cheese it taste more Eden Cheese the Filipino brand having a person who is into cooking has told me it doesn't taste like what it is suppose to be.

Being Americanize we can tell the difference in our hotdog and our taste buds being who we are buying random buying food from food chains Mr. Franks is not really an American taste it has mixed in Filipino having the chili dog taste sweet in what a member of the family complained about.

The corn dogs are good just the texture of the batter is too thick to bite in although it has a sweet taste.

If you feel you want to try it for yourself here is the website: http://mrfranks.ph/ given to you all you need to do is click on it and will direct you there.
