Puto bumbong lovers, your favorite holiday treat just got a Wendy’s glow-up—ready for a twist on tradition?

It’s payday, the perfect time to treat ourselves, especially with the ever-changing weather in the Philippines. For fans of traditional Pinoy desserts , there’s now a new twist to enjoy your puto bumbong . Carmina ordered’  Wendy's Philippines ’ latest offering—the Putobumbong Frosty —available in two sizes: 6oz for 87.85 pesos ($1.49) or a tub for 125.35 pesos ($2.12).  She opted for the tub, skipping the smaller size entirely. The classic puto bumbong, made from purple sticky rice with grated cheese and latik sauce , gets an upgrade in Wendy’s version, which adds leche flan , rice crispies, and creamy vanilla frosty. A sweet treat perfect for those with a sweet tooth. Carmina preferred it served separately, as the puto bumbong is hard and chewy to eat. I guess I’m just used to having it without ice cream. That’s just my preference—others might enjoy it as it is. NOT SPONSORED. Check out my channel where you can find my videos at  Carmina Lifestyle YouTube Channel ...

Sinigang na Salmon Belly and Pinakbet

Lately I have been wanted to eat something with salmon but in a soup base and the place where I order my Filipino dishes doesn't have it available.

I am unable to go to the market and buy my salmon. I cannot cook in the kitchen being prohibited due to the situation at home.

Carmina decided to order food that had Sinigang na Salmon Belly it is really Authentic Filipino my reason why I say it is super sour from the tamarind that they use and spicy from the chili green pepper that has probably open while stirring the soup.

Carmina was able to eat it with half cup of rice at home with a small bowl of Sinigang na Salmon Belly and the other portion can be eaten for dinner.

My way of saving money and eating my food twice for a meal less than $10.00 in USD I was able to eat enough for the day.

For those who plan to visit the Philippines and are on a budget they also have set meals that range from PHP 200.00 ($4.00) to PHP 300.00 ($6.00) depending if you want rice in your meals.

I was debating if I was going to order Sinigang ng Salmon Belly Set. It is a small portion of Singigang ng Salmon Belly in a bowl with Pinakbet and rice for PHP 149.00 ($2.98)

I figured I also need to consider what food I will be eating for dinner later so might as well get the full order of Sinigang na Salmon Belly for PHP 229.00 ($4.58) and Pinakbet PHP 130.00 ($2.60) not including fee from Grab application and tip to the rider who is picking up your order from Salo to be delivered to your home.

The food had arrive secured with masking tape on the side to make sure it doesn't spill during the process being handle from the Grab rider to your home.

Pinakbet

Every time we receive food from restaurant the rule is always transfer to another container before having it consumed and the plastic container it comes from is to have it washed being able to be used again.

Once food has been cooled off and you have leftover it is best to transfer in the plastic container and place it in your refrigerator a way your food doesn't get spoiled especially we live in a humid climate in the Philippines.

Your food can be reheated when you plan to eat your leftover Sinigang na Salmon Belly and Pinakbet from Salo.

Note:

Carmina is not selling or advertising Sinigang na Salmon Belly and Pinakbet from Salo just something to eat for my meal for the day.
