Mom Violy Craving for Filipino Dishes from Seafood Island Restaurant

  Mom Violy wanted to eat crispy pata and pinakbet from Seafood Island Restaurant located in Cubao, Quezon City near the old Shopwise. We had arrived early being the first customers waiting for the restaurant to open. Few minutes later customers began entering the restaurant and we have already placed our order. Mom Violy ordered her crispy pata and pinakbet. Carmina ordered garlic butter shrimp since I don't eat crispy pata. Family member ordered calamari and shrimp fried rice. Asparagus with Garlic Recipe

 


Carmina wanted to eat her asparagus a different way normally I would just steam or boil it the American way how I was taught to eat it with my parents.

Asparagus with Melted Butter and Mayo Recipe:
Rather than eating it that way I asked Manang V to stir fry my asparagus just the way she would normally cook our vegetables.

Stir Fry Asparagus with Garlic Recipe
Ingredients:
  • 1 Kilo Fresh Asparagus (clean and slice 2 inches)
  • 2 Cloves Garlic - (chopped)
  • 1 Tbsp. Butter (any brand)
Cooking Instructions:
  1. In a frying pan when hot add butter, garlic sauté and add asparagus being cooked half cooked.
  2. Transfer to a serving bowl 
  3. Ready to eat.
