Carmina says Bebang’s halo-halo is summer in a spoon — but is it the real deal or just pretty colors in a cup?

Since last year, Mom Violy and Carmina had been wanting to try the much-talked-about  Bebang's Halo-Halo , but even when we passed by, the timing was never right. Mom Violy kept saying she’d wait until a branch opened closer to us. Then Becky told Carmina there was one along her commute route to work. The best part was that the Tomas Morato branch in Quezon City had just opened. When we arrived at CTTM Square , we found plenty of restaurants on the second floor. While checking the menu, we let the customers behind us order first. Mom Violy asked them for recommendations, and they suggested the Presidential for first timers. Unlike other places, Bebang’s Halo-Halo doesn’t have size options—everything comes in a standard size, making ordering easier. Seniors and PWDs get a discount per order, and you’re given something that lights up when your halo-halo is ready for pickup. Service was quick, so the wait wasn’t long at all. Each order comes in its own green plastic bag with a table...

Taro Soy Refresher and Milk Tea Soy Refresher from Soy Yummy

Carmina first tried Soy Yummy when she purchased it at Buildamart, and her mom, Violy, noticed it mentioned in her blog. Curious, Carmina checked if she could buy directly from the supplier and discovered they had many branches in the Philippines. Since she couldn’t go out, she placed an order through Grab, selecting Soy Yummy under Grab Mart. She ordered a Bundle of 4 Large Chilled Taho for PHP 275.00 ($5.50).

Tip:

I used a measuring cup and spoon to balance the ingredients by volume—specifically the sago and brown sugar. Each chilled taho gets 2 and a half tablespoons of sago and 1/4 cup of brown sugar. Adjust as needed and go by feel!

The phase in life not from ordinary taho comes in flavor taro (ube) and Milk Tea Refresher.

I originally planned to try their Wintermelon Soy Refresher, but the staff informed me it was no longer available and offered me options like Matcha, Honey, Chocolate, and Taro instead.

The price remains the same at PHP 135.00 ($2.70), excluding the handling fee for delivery to your location.

You may directly order through their Official Website to place your order.
