Mom Violy kept saying she’d wait until a branch opened closer to us. Then Becky told Carmina there was one along her commute route to work. The best part was that the Tomas Morato branch in Quezon City had just opened. When we arrived at CTTM Square , we found plenty of restaurants on the second floor. While checking the menu, we let the customers behind us order first. Mom Violy asked them for recommendations, and they suggested the Presidential for first timers. Carmina first tried Soy Yummy when she purchased it at Buildamart, and her mom, Violy, noticed it mentioned in her blog. Curious, Carmina checked if she could buy directly from the supplier and discovered they had many branches in the Philippines. Tip:
I used a measuring cup and spoon to balance the ingredients by volume—specifically the sago and brown sugar. Each chilled taho gets 2 and a half tablespoons of sago and 1/4 cup of brown sugar. Adjust as needed and go by feel!
