Carmina asked Mom Violy what kind of food she would like to eat for her upcoming birthday. Mom Violy said she was craving for a restaurant that serves steak and lobster. Carmina gave Mom Violy a list of restaurants for her to decide with a link of the websites for her to see which one look something she would like to try. One week before Mom Violy's birthday she made her final choice where she would like to try Mamou . Carmina had picked up Mom Violy at her home before heading to Gateway 2 located in Cubao, Quezon City. Mamou is located ground floor inside Gateway 2. Upon entering the person asked if we had any reservations however, they do except walk as well was seated at the table of our choice. The person had handed us the menu. Beverages Menu Bread and butter were served after we had placed our order. Our appetizer was the Mamou's Bacon Steak. Mom Violy decided to order her lobster tail with rice. Manang V is sharing you her Kaldereta Recipe the way she cooks in our home. Being a cook she feeds a lot of people.
Carmina has the opportunity to write down and ask Manang V what are her recipes each day a way we have a journal of what recipes each person has on their own.
Manang V said normally there is pineapple to the dish since we have nothing in stock it wasn't included in our dish today.
Manang V's Beef Ribs Kaldereta Recipe
Ingredients:
2 Kilo - Beef Ribs
2 - Small Packs Del Monte Tomato Sauce
2 - Tbsp. Vinegar
1 - Onion (chopped)
1 - Whole Garlic (minced)
1 - Potato (sliced in 1 inch)
1 - Carrot (sliced in 1 inch)
2 - Bell Pepper (sliced thinly)
1 - Can Green Peas
1 - Reno Liver Spread
Patis (Fish Sauce) to taste
1 - Can of Sliced Pineapple (strain juice)
Cooking Instructions:
- In a large pot you will add small amount of cooking oil when hot add garlic, onion sauté by adding the beef ribs, vinegar and water until meat is soft and tender.
- Add potato, carrot, bell pepper, peas until cook for thirty minutes
- Add reno liver spread, patis and pineapple ready to serve with rice.
They say eating in a small plate makes you eat only a small portion of your food each day.
