Your Food is Not Local They Are All Branded
Few days ago, I was talking to Mary Ann she had asked how my diet was coming along. I had informed her I have been eating healthy food.
Mary Ann had also lost of weight from the past I have seen her.
During the time she had been working in a call center the tendency of being stressed from over worked you fall into stress eating in what we've seen from other people who have a different line of job career.
Mary Ann asked what type of food have you've been eating. I explain I have been eating oatmeal for breakfast by adding other spice and ingredients in my food.
Mary Ann said your food is not local they are all branded. The way Mary Ann said made me think what she meant branded not all my food is coming from another country. Actually my instant oatmeal is local made in the Philippines yes it is Quaker Oats with Banana Flavoring since I don't like it plain. I need to substitute it to what I normally eat in the United States.
I had explained I don't eat oatmeal every morning. I would alternate it due to my mom had arthritis eating it a substitute of her rice and eating it more than once a day for five years.
Mary Ann said it is okay if you eat it oatmeal lowers your bad and good cholesterol level. I do the same as well.
Our topic of the day is what to add in your oatmeal to make it taste differently each day. We often get tired eating the same food as a pattern in how we live and eat.
For me I cannot eat the same food for a whole week I'd get tired of it seems too boring for me.
To add something to our oatmeal for example if I feel like eating a cinnamon roll I'd add cinnamon powder to my Quaker Oats Banana Flavoring a way I am eating something healthy but taste and smell like a cinnamon roll.
If we want to eat it cold we can make an overnight oats by adding instant oatmeal, fresh milk, plain yogurt, nuts or fresh fruits, peanut butter spread and seasoning to your breakfast meal for the next day. You can turn it around and switched it off to each day by making seven of them for the whole week leaving in the fridge.
To me I don't prefer mine cold. I prefer to eat my oatmeal warm and it is easy to prepare in the morning for a person who just stays home not on the go.
Eating oatmeal removes hunger strike it doesn't get you hungry right away. I can last hours without eating the next meal.
Of course we have coffee for the day and that is what you can call a simple breakfast but not sure if you state this not being local food.
Mary Ann asked what you eat at night when you get hungry. I said that is easy eat a banana and drink tea it can fill you up.
The best trick brush your teeth afterwards there is no way you can eat again.
It is really how you can control yourself your mind and brain can play tricks on you. If you can control yourself not going toward stress eating you can do alright just takes a while if your use to stress eating. It will need to figure out how to control yourself or remove the food you don't want to see that is next to you.
To me even if the food is in front of me I don't have the feeling I need to eat it. I have my own self control. I have friends telling me a certain food or beverage is calling them. I laugh at them that is just an excuse for you to stress eat and food doesn't have a mouth no way they can call you and say eat or drink me.
