Mom Violy's Birthday Lunch at Mamou, Gateway 2

Carmina asked Mom Violy what kind of food she would like to eat for her upcoming birthday. Mom Violy said she was craving for a restaurant that serves steak and lobster. Carmina gave Mom Violy a list of restaurants for her to decide with a link of the websites for her to see which one look something she would like to try. One week before Mom Violy's birthday she made her final choice where she would like to try  Mamou . Carmina had picked up Mom Violy at her home before heading to Gateway 2 located in Cubao, Quezon City. Mamou is located ground floor inside Gateway 2. Upon entering the person asked if we had any reservations however, they do except walk as well was seated at the table of our choice.  The person had handed us the menu. Sweet Potato with Artichoke Salad Recipe

We often see people make potato salad and having small sweet potato around. I decided since they both are being grown from the ground why not try something new. Only difference I had added something else to my sweet potato salad rather using chicken that we normally add on to our potato salad. I used what I had in my fridge to add additional flavoring and color to my sweet potato salad with some marinated artichoke that I had recently purchase. Sweet Potato with Artichoke Salad Recipe Ingredients: 6 Pieces - Small Camote Orange boiled, peeled and slice into cubes 1/2 Onion - Sliced into cubes Mayonnaise any brand - Put how much you want on your sweet potato salad. Salt to taste Optional: 3 Pieces - Artichoke using 3 pieces and slice small (Marinated Artichoke from the bottle any brand) You can add hardboiled egg to your salad and other ingredients you have in your home.   Growing up in California my mom would always cook our vegetables just steaming or boiling something that is simple to eat. The past few weeks I have been asking Manang V to add some of my vegetable on her list when they run out of vegetables in her kitchen. Every time Carmina would see there is replenish of vegetables in the kitchen she would ask Manang V. Manang V would always tell me sorry I keep forgetting about your vegetables. Carmina got tired of waiting went ahead and purchase it online through Grab Mart. It seems easier not to reply upon other people might as well do it yourself?
