Mom Violy Craving for Filipino Dishes from Seafood Island Restaurant

  Mom Violy wanted to eat crispy pata and pinakbet from Seafood Island Restaurant located in Cubao, Quezon City near the old Shopwise. We had arrived early being the first customers waiting for the restaurant to open. Few minutes later customers began entering the restaurant and we have already placed our order. Mom Violy ordered her crispy pata and pinakbet. Carmina ordered garlic butter shrimp since I don't eat crispy pata. Family member ordered calamari and shrimp fried rice. Manang V's is Sharing Her Favorite String Beans with Tofu Recipe


Manang V is sharing her favorite recipe on String Beans with Tofu. Manang V said you can also do the same with kangkong if you choose to go in that direction.

String Beans with Tofu Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 3 Tbsp. - Oyster Sauce
  • 3 - Cloves Garlic (minced)
  • 1 - Medium Onion (chopped)
  • 2 - Tbs Cooking Oil
  • 1/4 Kilo Pork (chopped)
  • 1/2 Kilo String beans (washed, cut into 2 inch long pieces)
  • Tofu (slice in cubes)
  • 1/2 Cup - Water
Cooking Instructions:
Step 1:

Cook in a large pan in medium heat add cooking oil add garlic and onion sauté 
Add pork cook for two minutes 
Add oyster sauce and water until sauce begins to boil

Step 2:

Add string beans and tofu mix together cook for 10 minutes season ready to serve on a serving plate.

Best to eat with white rice.
