Mom Violy Craving for Filipino Dishes from Seafood Island Restaurant

  Mom Violy wanted to eat crispy pata and pinakbet from Seafood Island Restaurant located in Cubao, Quezon City near the old Shopwise. We had arrived early being the first customers waiting for the restaurant to open. Few minutes later customers began entering the restaurant and we have already placed our order. Mom Violy ordered her crispy pata and pinakbet. Carmina ordered garlic butter shrimp since I don't eat crispy pata. Family member ordered calamari and shrimp fried rice. Eggplant Lasagna without the Pasta from Cafe Leonor located in Marikina City, Philippines

Most of us eat eggplant the Filipino way is making it into torta that is battered with egg, but you haven't seen a lasagna version without pasta. We don't need to worry about the carbohydrate in reality it is melted cheese on the top to enhance the flavor linger in your mouth. Using a fork you begin to dig inside to see what is the ingredient when looking at the plastic clear container the layering is the melted cheese how it resemble how a lasagna may look. It is a combination of an eggplant salad and torta only difference there is melted cheese on it which makes it really unique.
