It’s always been our tradition that when a birthday is coming up in our close group of friends, we take turns treating each other. Mom Violy picks the restaurant, and we all tag along. Tito Boni prefers to use his credit card for dining discounts. Each of us has a role—Tita Edna handles the venue reservations, and Carmina coordinates with everyone to capture videos and photos during the celebration. Tita Edna called Seven Corners Restaurant to check if they have a buffet promotion for lunch on Tuesday, March 24, 2026. It has been confirmed booked for four adults noted it for someone's birthday. Carmina had a family member who was the one who introduced Sugi Japanese Restaurant to her five years ago. We used to dine there every time there was a special occasion.
Upon entering on the left side there will be someone to assist you asking how many you are, so they have found a table for you.
I suggest if you are a lot, you can call ahead and make a reservation.
After entering five years later you notice the decoration and the menu has upgraded. Looking at the menu got me so confused good thing the server was able to explain it to us.
Mom Violy's common Japanese food is always the chicken teriyaki bento box. The person helping us said they have items off the menu.
Mom Violy was able to get her favorite chicken teriyaki bento box includes with Japanese rice and miso soup.
Mom Violy also wanted some sushi, yet she cannot remember what she had ordered.
Elle and her friend Esa shared mixed vegetable tempura and sushi that had eel. I am not sure what the name of sushi is.
Mom Violy requested Carmina to order some beef sukiyaki soup. Carmina only requested a small portion was told it is 2 persons.
We couldn't finish our meal. Mom Violy took it home.
My favorite all time appetizer is their eggplant. They have a different name I couldn't quite pick it up when the server told me what it was.
The other family member had their own separate meals of the tonkatsu with Japanese rice and miso soup.
Beef Teriyaki with Japanese rice includes side dish vegetables and miso soup.
Mom Violy requested to take pictures before heading out and you can see the server from Sugi Japanese Restaurant at our back also smiling at the camera.
We're told that Sugi Japanese Restaurant will be moving to another faculty their last day is on February 4, 2024.
